TERMS & CONDITIONS Pale Blue Communications Ltd / We are Gaia Last updated: May 2026
1. Who we are
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases and bookings made through paleblueperspective.com and wearegaia.life, both operated by Pale Blue Communications Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 12408257). Full company details are available at Companies House: find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk
Contact us at tom@paleblueperspective.com with any questions about these terms.
2. These terms
By placing an order or booking with us, you agree to these terms. Please read them before purchasing. We recommend saving or printing a copy for your records.
These terms apply to consumers purchasing for personal use. If you are purchasing on behalf of a business, different terms may apply — contact us to discuss.
3. Our products and services
We offer the following:
Physical products — Cards for Life™ card decks and associated printed materials, fulfilled and shipped by our fulfilment partner EFCL UK (Ecommerce Fulfilment Centre Ltd)
Online courses — including Thinking like Gaia practitioner training and other programmes delivered online
Digital downloads — including PDF workbooks and other materials, available as paid or free downloads
Retreats and in-person events — residential and day programmes; separate booking terms will apply and will be provided at the time of booking
4. Placing an order
When you place an order or book a course, you will receive a confirmation email. This confirmation is acknowledgement of your order, not acceptance. A contract between us is formed when we confirm your order is accepted and, for physical products, when your item is dispatched.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, for example if a product is out of stock or a pricing error has occurred. If this happens we will notify you and issue a full refund promptly.
5. Pricing and payment
All prices are in GBP unless otherwise stated. Prices are inclusive of any applicable VAT where shown.
Payment is processed securely through Stripe or PayPal. We do not store your payment card details.
For international orders, your bank or card provider may apply additional charges such as currency conversion fees. These are your responsibility.
6. Physical products — delivery
6.1 Fulfilment Physical orders are fulfilled and shipped by EFCL UK from their facility in Trafford Park, Manchester. By placing an order you authorise us to share your name and delivery address with EFCL UK for the purpose of fulfilling your order.
6.2 Delivery times We aim to dispatch orders within 24 hours of payment confirmation on working days (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays). Delivery times vary by destination: typically within one week for UK and European addresses, and up to two weeks or more for the rest of the world. These are estimates and cannot be guaranteed, as they depend on the courier and customs processes in your country.
6.3 International delivery We ship worldwide. International delivery costs and estimated times will be shown at checkout. You are responsible for any import duties, customs charges or taxes applicable in your country. We cannot predict or control these charges and cannot refund them.
6.4 Non-delivery If your order does not arrive, please contact us at tom@paleblueperspective.com. We will investigate with EFCL UK and the relevant courier. Where a parcel is confirmed lost, we will send a replacement at no charge to you.
Where non-delivery is caused by an incorrect address provided by you, or a failed delivery attempt that was not rearranged, we will send a replacement but may ask you to cover the cost of reshipping.
Where non-delivery is caused by the postal or courier service and is outside our control, we will resend your order. Return shipping costs for any items that need to be returned to us in this scenario are your responsibility.
6.5 Damaged or incorrect items If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 14 days with a description and photograph. We will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.
7. Physical products — returns and refunds
7.1 Change of mind Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it without giving a reason. To exercise this right, contact us at tom@paleblueperspective.com within 14 days of receipt.
Returned items must be unused and in their original condition and packaging. You are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We will issue a full refund of the product price within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
7.2 Faulty goods If a product is faulty or not as described, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Please contact us and we will offer a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate.
8. Online courses — booking and payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place on a course. Courses have limited places and your place is confirmed only upon receipt of payment and booking confirmation from us.
9. Online courses — cancellation and refunds
9.1 Cancellation by you
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your course booking within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, provided the course has not yet started. If the course starts within your 14-day cancellation window and you wish to attend, you may waive this right — we will ask you to confirm this at the point of booking.
Where the statutory 14-day right applies, you will receive a full refund regardless of the tiers below.
Where the 14-day statutory period has elapsed, or where you have waived it, our policy is:
More than 4 weeks before the course start date: full refund
2 to 4 weeks before the course start date: 50% refund
Less than 2 weeks before the course start date: no refund
To cancel, contact us at tom@paleblueperspective.com stating your name, booking reference and course date.
9.2 Deferral
You may defer your place to a future cohort of the same course once, subject to the following:
More than 1 week before the course start date: deferral is free of charge
Less than 1 week before the course start date: deferral is subject to a fee of 50% of the original course price, payable before the deferral is confirmed
Deferral is available once per booking. A deferred place cannot be deferred again. Deferred places are subject to availability on the future cohort.
9.3 Transfer of place
You may transfer your place to another person at any time before the course begins. Please notify us of the name and contact details of the person taking your place so we can update our records.
9.4 Cancellation by us
In the unlikely event that we cancel a course, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future cohort. We will not be liable for any other costs you may have incurred, such as travel or accommodation, unless caused by our negligence.
If we postpone a course, we will offer you the choice of transferring to the rescheduled date or receiving a full refund.
10. Digital downloads
10.1 Free downloads Some digital materials are made available free of charge. These are provided as-is and we make no guarantees about their completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Free materials may be shared for non-commercial purposes with attribution to Pale Blue Communications Ltd.
10.2 Paid downloads Paid digital products such as PDF workbooks are available for personal use only. They may not be resold, redistributed or shared commercially without our written permission.
10.3 Right to cancel — digital products
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital purchase. However, by completing your purchase you expressly consent to immediate access to the digital product upon payment and acknowledge that your 14-day right to cancel is thereby waived. This is standard practice for digital downloads and means we can make your purchase available to you immediately.
If you experience a technical problem preventing access to a paid download, contact us and we will resolve it promptly. This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed products.
11. Intellectual property
All content on our websites, including text, images, course materials, card designs and downloadable documents, is the intellectual property of Pale Blue Communications Ltd unless otherwise stated. Cards for Life™ is a trademark of Pale Blue Communications Ltd.
Nothing in these terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use our products and services as intended.
12. Our liability
We are responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by us. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or that is caused by events outside our reasonable control.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.
Our total liability to you in connection with any order or booking will not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant product or service.
13. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, postal or courier failures, or government actions. We will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take steps to minimise the impact.
14. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any product or service, please contact us at tom@paleblueperspective.com. We will respond within 5 working days and do our best to resolve the issue fairly.
If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may wish to use an alternative dispute resolution service. ⚠️ We have not yet nominated a specific ADR scheme — this is worth confirming before publishing, particularly if you wish to trade with EU customers.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version. Your continued use of our sites or purchase of our products constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
